I could not help but think of Thomas Schwartz yesterday, when the Canadian company he founded, CapReit, announced a string of management appointments following his untimely death last month.
David Erlich, who has headed up Ires, the Irish rental giant that was launched by CapReit, is succeeding Schwartz as president and chief executive of CapReit in Toronto. Replacing Erlich is Margaret Sweeney, a former chief executive of the Dublin Airport Authority and Postbank.
