Manufacturing production slows slightly in February

But seasonally-adjusted volume up 6.7 per cent on preceding three-month period

Production for manufacturing industries for February 2016 was 12.4 per cent lower than in January 2016, according to just-released CSO figures.

Annualised production for February was down by 1.3 per cent when compared with February 2015.

The sector covering basic pharmaceutical products and preparations, and computer, electronic and optical products, showed a monthly decrease in production of 17.9 per cent for February 2016.
