For Longford-based analytical chemist Michael Savage, a future in business was always on the cards.

“I worked in the pharmaceutical and life sciences sector for just under five years after I graduated, but I had wanted to run my own company from a young age,” said Savage, who established Lir Agri in Granard in 2013.
