Liberty Insurance to cut 270 jobs in Ireland
Liberty Insurance, formerly Quinn Insurance, is to cut 270 jobs from its operations in Cavan and Blanchardstown in Dublin.
The US-owned group, which has 1,000 staff between Dublin, Cavan and Co. Fermanagh, said it is withdrawing from the personal motor insurance market in Britain, which has been heavily loss-making and is serviced from Ireland.
Liberty said it would now focus on the Republic of Ireland market and plans to transfer the customer management of its Northern Ireland...
