Sharon Donnery, the deputy governor of the Central Bank, has been handed another high-profile role with an upcoming appointment to a key European Central Bank committee.

Donnery will take up the post of chair of the European Central Bank’s budget committee this month. It is only one of two committee roles not chaired by an ECB executive.
