Firm founded after spotting gap in Vat rules

A fledgling Kerry financial technology company is seeing rapid growth after spotting a gap in the market in changes in international Vat rules, according to its chief executive John McCarthy.

Taxamo was founded by McCarthy and Greg Birdthistle after they saw that stricter rules requiring online customers to pay tax on purchases locally were a major business opportunity.
