Arule precluding local radio stations from using combined Joint National Listenership Research (JNLR) data in marketing and press releases is putting them at a grave commercial disadvantage, according to media sales house IRS Plus.
According to the current JNLR code, data from the combined database – comprising national, regional, multi-city and local stations – must not be used in general marketing, promotions or public relations.
