Irish start-up Intercom valued at $500m
Intercom, the Irish-led technology firm which raised $35 million last week, is now valued by its investors at more than $500 million, just four years after it was founded.
To date, the customer communication platform for internet businesses has raised $66 million from investors. Its valuation has rocketed, according to industry sources, as its revenues grew by 100 times since it raised its first series A funding of $6 million in June 2013. Intercom said at the start of this year it believed it was building a $1 billion business, but last week declined to comment on its current valuation.
