Independent News & Media is willing to explore joining forces with other newspapers on advertising sales, according to its chief executive Robert Pitt.

The six major British newspaper groups – News UK, Trinity Mirror, Guardian News & Media, DMG Media, Telegraph Media Group and Northern & Shell – have invested in a feasibility study to investigate the possibility of joining advertising sales operations across of all their assets.
