Spurred on by British screenwriter Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s triumph at last Sunday’s Primetime Emmy Awards, Irish film and television producer Katie Holly is determined to redress the gender imbalance in Ireland’s creative sector.

The producer of the new comedy horror film Extra Ordinary has teamed up with Copper Alley co-founder Lara Hickey to launch a new initiative aimed at kickstarting collaboration between female directors and writers in Ireland.
