Identities of Arnotts backers unclear

The identity of the backers or partners involved in the Noel Smyth-led buyout of Arnotts is unclear, following the announcement that Apollo will sell out its stake for around €100 million.

The Brown Thomas and Selfridges-owning Weston family have been suggested as having an involvement in the deal, although neither Smyth nor the Westons’ representatives would comment.
