IDA picks new deputy chief executive Buckley to drive international business

The IDA has appointed Mary Buckley as executive director, effectively its deputy chief executive reporting to Martin Shanahan.

Buckley was previously head of corporate operations, regional development and property at the IDA. Between 2006 and 2010, she was based in New York as director, North America.

She was area director, South, based in Cork, for the IDA between 2002 and 2005, where her clients included Apple and many of the world’s biggest pharmaceutical companies.
