Virgin Media Ireland is planning an aggressive expansion of its broadband network, according to its chief executive Tony Hanway.

The telecommunications company wants to increase its broadband coverage in Ireland by 20 per cent, bringing it to 70 per cent national coverage through an investment worth hundreds of millions over the next three years.
