It’s surprising how investment market commentary on a topic can quickly swing, almost pendulum-like. Returning to our desks in January 2016, we were greeted with an alarming headline from a leading market commentator. Sell everything, it said, except high-quality Government bonds, because global disinflation risks were set to turn into global deflation in 2016.
Fast forward less than 12 months and investors now seem to fear the return of inflation, judging by the bond market...
