Hospitality firm fears ‘73 per cent hike’ in council rates

The Fitzgerald Group, the hospitality business founded by businessman Louis Fitzgerald, has said it is “extremely concerned” by reports that South Dublin County Council (SDCC) plans to increase county rates. The group, which employs 1,000 people in two hotels and five pubs, said it was calling on all businesses to lobby against any increase.
