The Irish Film Board has extended the contract of its chief executive, James Hickey, for another three years.

Hickey took on the position as chief executive in June 2011 for a period of five years. He will continue in the role until 2019.

Hickey was previously partner and head of the media and entertainment division at legal firm Matheson. He was formerly chairman of the Projects Arts Centre and the Abbey Theatre and has had a lifetime...
