Greece led European shares lower after weekend talks between the indebted nation and its creditors broke down.
The talks in Brussels fell apart after just 45 minutes as the gap between Greece and its creditors could not be bridged with the focus now shifting to Thursday's meeting of euro zone finance ministers in Luxembourg.
