Huawei praises 'sound' Irish investment environment

Business and enterprise minister Heather Humphreys said her department and its agencies were looking at any direct and indirect implications for Irish-based companies doing business with Huawei, “given the broad and complex global value chains” and Ireland’s huge tech sector.

The government has already asked the National Cyber Security Centre to probe the security risks associated with 5G systems, and a report is due soon.
