Google: weaker results than expected for Alphabet

Alphabet, the parent company of tech giant Google, has fallen short of analyst expectations with its latest results, despite increasing its revenue and profit.

“There’s nothing wrong with this company. They spent a bit more and took in a bit less than we thought, so Mr Market is having a mood swing. But it was a fine quarter.”
