With more than 40 countries celebrating St Patrick’s Day by joining in Tourism Ireland’s Global Greening, chief executive Niall Gibbons explains how the initiative has exceeded all expectations

Last Friday, the world turned green as over 270 buildings in more than 40 countries across the world lit up for St Patrick’s Day. In its eighth year now, the Global Greening marketing initiative has been one of Tourism Ireland’s most successful ever.
