Healthcare fund chaired by former HSE boss has completed funding round

Glencar, the healthcare fund which is chaired by former HSE chief executive Brendan Drumm, has completed a €200 million funding round and is preparing to kick-start activity in the second quarter of the year.

A consortium of high-net-worth individuals and institutional investors is understood to have stumped up €100 million in equity for the healthcare play, which aims to build around 15 primary care centres in the coming years.
