Galway medtech company secures €19m in funding

A medtech device designed to improve treatment for stroke patients has earned Galway’s Neuravi €19 million in Series B funding.

The round was led by European private equity firm Life Sciences Partners (LSP), and will allow Neuravi to commercialise its Embotrap device in European and US markets.

A thrombectomy device, Embotrap can be used to remove the blood clots that cause ischemic strokes, and restore blood flow to the brain quickly and simply.
