Donegal food entrepreneur Declan Gallagher is making a move into the meat alternatives market with a new venture.
The managing director of Gallagher’s Bakery, which employs 300 staff at its Donegal-based manufacturing facility, has developed a range of plant-based products that replicate the taste and texture of chicken, pork, beef and duck.
The new retail products are expected to be on shelves in Ireland early next year, with packaging currently being finalised.
