Gaelectric sale under pressure following Brexit outcome

The sale of Gaelectric’s cross-border windfarm portfolio, which has been valued at between €250 million and €350 million, has come under pressure because of uncertainty caused by Brexit.
A number of sources close to potential bidders told The Sunday Business Post that while the company had good assets, concerns about sterling volatility and uncertainty about the energy market in Northern Ireland after Brexit was weighing on pricing.
