Gaelectric buys two wind farms

Irish renewable energy company Gaelectric has bought two pre-construction wind farms in Kilkenny and Tipperary.

The transaction will see Gaelectric, which is active both North and South of the border, take a 100 per cent interest in the 13.8MW Ballybay wind farm in Kilkenny from ART Generation, where eight wind turbines are permitted.

Also under the deal, Gaelectric has acquired a 50 per cent shareholding in Cnoc wind farm from the special purpose vehicle, Cnoc Windfarm...
