Funds body lobbied government intensely on ILP bill

The Irish Funds Industry Association (IFIA) successfully exerted pressure on the government to deliver customised legislation on fund vehicles.

According to the lobbying register, up to 100 communications were made to both ministers at the Department of Finance, department officials and Oireachtas TDs between 2017-2019 requesting an updated version of the Investment Limited Partnership (ILP) Act 1994 in line with proposals by the industry.
