Funding pours into Great Northern Distillery

The whiskey maker backed by exploration entrepreneur and Cooley founder John Teeling is set to raise another €2.5 million

Great Northern Distillery, the whiskey maker backed by exploration entrepreneur and Cooley founder John Teeling, is set to raise another €2.5 million, bringing its total funding to €15 million.

The Dundalk-based operation is raising the funds through the state backed Employment and Investment Incentive Scheme (EIIS) of tax-friendly investing, with Cantor Fitzgerald gathering the backers.

This fourth tranche of funding for Great Northern will be used to lay down its next stock of whiskey. EIIS...
