Fujitsu’s Irish arm reports loss despite rise in turnover

The Irish operation of Japanese tech firm Fujitsu recorded a pre-tax loss of €1.8 million for the year ended March 31, 2014, a drop from a profit of €737,233 the previous year.

Turnover at the firm rose from €48.9 million to €56 million last year. However, a rise in the cost of sales from €39.7 million to €48.6 million meant a significant reduction in the firm’s gross profit.
