Fracking fracas for gas exploration boss Egan

The exploration company led by Irishman Francis Egan which is spearheading fracking in Britain, has failed in its attempt to have the rules around earth tremors and drilling relaxed.

Cuadrilla Resources has produced its first shale gas from its fracking site near Blackpool where it started work two weeks ago, but it has been beset by problems at the site.

Work has also been halted several times due to earth tremors.
