Fintech disruptors target opportunities in banking

The scramble for market share in the financial technology (fintech) sector was among the key topics discussed at last week’s Future of Banking and Financial Services Summit.

Colm Lyon, chief executive of Fire Financial Services, said he was optimistic about the opportunities across the industry for apps and payments services but cautioned technology evangelists that “it takes a long time and capital to build a fintech business”.
