The head of FBD, one of the country’s biggest insurers, has said demonising the industry for making profits will not lower insurance prices and she hit out at individuals for not taking personal responsibility for minor accidents.
Fiona Muldoon, chief executive of FBD, also hit back at junior finance minister Michael D’Arcy for saying that he doesn’t hold insurers in high regard, calling his intervention “unhelpful”.
