Farmer’s career change produces prize tomatoes
‘I would only ever have gone down the organic route . . . it’s a holistic system’
Six years ago, when Kilkenny native Vincent Grace founded Riversfield Organic Farm in Callan, he left behind a career in social care to start a new life earning a living on his family’s land.
“I was working in rehabilitation with offenders and drug users. I worked with homeless people over a number of years in Dublin and the North, but I always had an interest in farming,” he said.
