Fáilte Ireland may turn its Dublin headquarters into the largest hotel in country

Chief executive met developers to discuss potential of redeveloping the Amiens Street site

As the Dublin hotel gold rush rolls on, Fáilte Ireland is now exploring the potential to redevelop its own city centre headquarters into the largest hotel in Ireland.

Documents released to The Sunday Business Post under freedom of information laws show the state tourism agency first engaged with a developer about the development of large-scale Dublin hotels – between 800 and 1,000 rooms in size – last November.
