European shares slipped from a two-month high as the market paused after a three-week rally and investors assessed the outlook for monetary policy.
By 11:05 a.m., London's FTSE 100 was down 0.3 per cent, France's CAC 40 lost 0.6 per cent but Germany's DAX was 0.1 per cent higher.
In Dublin, the ISEQ was down 0.4 per cent.
