A survey of chief financial officers (CFOs) at companies across Europe has shown increased levels of uncertainty, though Irish CFOs are still relatively optimistic and lead the way on employment expectations.

Across Europe, only a quarter of CFOs are more optimistic about prospects for their company, unchanged from the previous survey. But Irish CFOs, at 45 per cent, were the third most optimistic behind Sweden and Spain.
