Publicans played a blinder during Ireland's opening game at Euro 2016, debit card transactions reveal.

The snapshot of spending behaviour was carried out by AIB’s Data Science Group.

Fans also ordered take away pizza in larger numbers than usual – with purchases up 10 per cent to recent Mondays.
