The Economic and Social Research Institute has warned the government that Brexit support measures should only be targeted at sustainable sectors.
The government has a €2.8 billion funding package for this year’s budget. Some €2.1 billion has already been allocated, meaning there is just €700 million leftover for budget-day announcements.
Paschal Donohoe has committed to using additional resources to support the economy in the event of a no-deal Brexit.
