ESB Networks to hire 600 new staff

Economic improvement combined with an ageing workforce means ESB Networks will hire 600 people over the next five years, according to its managing director, Marguerite Sayers.

Some 3,200 people work for the company, which finances, builds and maintains Ireland’s electricity transmission system. It has 600 staff who are in the retirement age bracket and it will need a level of overlap with new employees to ensure a skill transfer.
