Equitable Life to set up Dublin unit

Equitable Life, one of Britain’s oldest life insurance and pensions companies, is seeking to move some of its business to Ireland in a bid to continue serving its remaining European customers.

The company, which traces its roots back to 1762, is seeking to set up a subsidiary in Dublin that would allow it to maintain rights to service its clients in Germany.
