Dubliner Simon Phelan co-founded London-based Hometree, which is aiming to shake up the home boiler market

His £1.5 million investment is relevant as Hometree, which describes itself as a“next-generation energy company” is planning on shaking up the home boiler market in the same way that Purplebricks has challenged the traditional estate agency model.

Dawn Marriott-Sims, a former joint chief operating officer and board member of Capita, is also investing in the home tech company and will become its new chairman.
