Elvery’s enjoys €600,000 profits jump

The company is in the middle of a substantial expansion

As part of that expansion the company has seen its personnel costs increase year on year

Ireland’s improving economy helped the company behind the Elvery’s Sport chain of stores to boost its pre-tax profits from €1.1 million in 2015 to €1.7 million in 2016.

Staunton Sports’ turnover rose in 2016 from €74.5 million to €76.9 million, the directors note, boosted by an expansion in its stores and its online platform and the ‘improvement in the general economic climate’.
