Eirgrid criticised over €9 million bonus payments to staff

Company paid around €19,000 for its most senior executives last year

Eirgrid staff have received €9 million in bonus payments over the past five years, The Sunday Business Post has learned. The state-owned company is responsible for operating and upgrading the national electricity grid. Its key source of funding is the transmission charges put on customers’ electricity bills.
