Eir swallows up Meteor and 700k of its customers
All shooting stars burn out, and Meteor is no exception.
The mobile brand, which was set up in 1998, will be retired on Friday as the company is brought completely under the Eir umbrella.
Closing the Meteor brand is part of the overall brand development of Eir as a quad play brand encompassing TV, broadband, home phone and mobile, said Henry Dummer, group marketing director.
