Eir chief takes aim at ESB over broadband

ESB is duplicating existing broadband infrastructure and will struggle to get customers to sign up for its new ultra-fast service, Eir chief executive Richard Moat has claimed.

Siro, the semi-state energy giant’s new broadband joint venture with Vodafone, announced on Friday that it has become the country’s biggest provider of a lightning-fast broadband technology called Fibre to the Home (FTTH).
