The makers of the first feature film based around the 1916 Rising, which will see Liam Neeson’s son Michael in the role of Michael Collins, are putting the finishing touches to a $1 million funding round.
Kevin McCann, whose Maccana Teoranta production company is driving the project, has just returned from a three-month trip to the US, where he targeted high net worth Irish-American individuals and private equity funds.
