Eason names replacement for departing boss

Managing director Conor Whelan to step down at the end of June

Book and stationery retailer Eason has appointed Liam Hanly as its new managing director.

The move comes after current managing director Conor Whelan decided to step down at the end of June to pursue other interests.

Whelan, who is also outgoing chairman of Retail Ireland, has been in the position since 2009
