Dunnes Stores ready to expand café chain nationally

Expansion a radical move into coffee for supermarket empire

Dunnes Stores plans to finance the roll out of the Café Sol group’s brands and coffee shops around Ireland, now that its takeover of the chain has been cleared by the Competition Authority.

The deal also forms part of Dunnes Stores’ high end coffee shop expansion plans, with a number of Cafe Sol outlets being installed in Dunnes outlets including a number in Dublin locations.
