Dublin health firm plans major takeover deals

UDG ready to use its €500 million spending power on deals in US, Britain and Japan

UDG, the healthcare sales and marketing company, would like to complete one to two major takeover deals in the next 12 months, its chief executive has said.

A year after its transformation by selling off its Irish and British drug distribution business, which supplied hospitals and chemists with medicines, the company is now focused on packaging and selling drugs for major pharma companies and also in marketing, communications and research.
