Driving ambition: taxi app Lynk aims for 5m downloads by next year

The Dublin-based taxi app Lynk aims to be in 40 cities by the end of 2018.

Founded by Noel Ebbs, the company, which operates under the umbrella name of Riide outside Ireland, expects to have five million app downloads and 100,000 drivers by the end of next year. If it hits those numbers, Lynk, which raised €25 million in private funding in 2015, will not need to raise more money, Ebbs said.
