Don't waste corporation tax 'surprise', warns Ibec

Its pre-budget submission calls for a new Commission on Taxation, a renewal of the help to buy scheme, a land value tax and more support for indigenous businesses

In its budget submission, it has called on the government to use Budget 2020 to steer the economy in a new direction, warning against the use of extra corporation tax for day-to-day spending.

It has also called for a new Commission on Taxation to ensure that the tax system is sustainable in the decades ahead.

Ibec also calls for a €50m package to support childcare services, but it also wants child benefit payments means tested so...
